People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote - a very different thing. ~Walter H. Judd

Sunday nights can not come fast enough for me right now. Are you watching it?
It's based on a series of books by Charlaine Harris called the Southern Vampire Mysteries. Right now I'm reading the first book, Dead Until Dark, very good. The show is based on the book but Alan Balls has changed a lot of stuff so it will be interesting to see his interpretation of it. If you need a vampire fix after Twilight I recommend the books. The show is a bit racy, but then again it is HBO. So don't say I didn't warn you. ;) There are only three episodes left and word is that they have started working on series two. If you have DVR On Demand you can catch up on the shows, but if you don't have HBO I highly recommend the books and wait for the show to come out on DVD.
And another reason I love watching this show is that there is some serious eye candy!
Made this playlist and I've been listening to it all week. It's a little on the jazzy side but it's great for lazy weekend mornings.
In other news, the boss is on vacation for two weeks! Woohoo!! As soon as she left I got four emails from people wanting me to do something for them. I was about ready to put an out of office on my email. Should be an intreasting two weeks. So glad the weekend is here!
It's officially here! So excited that the cooler temps are here and I'm hoping that the days of 90 degrees and above are gone.
In honor of the day I puttogether a mosaic of photos from flickr. Enjoy!

what's up?
For me this past summer was ick! It got way to hot for me and all I wanted to do was stay inside and do nothing. Even walking the dog at 10:00 in the evening was way to hot for me. I think I kind of put a self imposed exile on myself.
But now the days are getting cooler and I feel as if I can be a part of the world again. So happy the fall is almost here.
I've been rearranging my scrapbook room and purging supplies. I think this set up is the best I've come up with so far. I've freed up some more wall space and I can fit in two more bookcases. Which is a perfect excuse for a trip to Ikea ;)
Trying hard to get my Christmas Journal from last year finished up before it's time to start this years. Already have my album and the papers I want to use picked out. I'm ahead of the game this year, I hope. I've added the pages I have completed in the album on the left.
Hopefully I'll be around more in the coming days. Lots to share!
P.S. We won't even talk about that last post and how mad I am that the movie won't be out until NEXT YEAR!
For reals! Been meaning to blog about a lot of stuff but never get the chance to. This summer has been flying by and the days are way to hot.
Trucking along on my layout a day, some days are better than others but I do plan on having 31 layouts by the end of the month.
I found a countdown to the new Harry Potter movie but it's to big so you can only see a little of it. Click on the picture and you can see the whole countdown. Hoping they come out with a smaller one.
Other than that not a lot to report right now.
I know some people say the phrase, "I'll never get caught up with my scrapbooking" is ugly, but for me it's true. I'm such a slow scrapbooker that it takes me a few hours to do just a simple layout. But I started wondering if I could do a layout a day, then I thought I would give myself a little challenge, for the month of July I would try and do a layout each day.
I am proud to say the for the past seven days I have done a layout for each day. Now I'm not trying to win any contest or get anything published with these layouts, I just want them done and in the scrapbook album.
July 1: Please Smile
